Son of Hannah Maud Peterson and Linus Doan(8), Isaac(7), Titus(6), Titus(5), Elijah(4), Daniel(3), Daniel(2), Deacon John Doane(1). Married to Mary Elizabeth Robbins on 06 Apr 1876 at the home of his sister, Mrs. Leonard Easterby, at Pelham, by Rev. Reynolds who was a Methodist Minister. He was a carpenter, trainer of race horses, Police Chief at Essex, and county constable for thirty years. He was known as "AC;" he called all his sons by names starting "AC." Other children: Jessie Izillia Doan, Mary Frances Doan, Maud Elizabeth Doan, and Madge Doan.

Obituary for Allen Clark Doan appeared in Windsor Star on January 21, 1942 and says he died that day. Wife Mary, sons Almer, Allan, Arthur and Archie, and three daughters listed under married names. (son Angus predeceased him).
