Florence Boerst Havlik Baranczyk, 95, Pulaski, passed away on Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, at GranCare Nursing Home, Green Bay, her home for the last eight years. She was born on Feb. 13, 1921, to Mabel (Hafeman) and Henry Boerst in the town of Angelica, Shawano County.

On Sept. 14, 1940, she married Raymond Havlik in Morgan. He preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 1979. On June 5, 1992, she married Steve Baranczyk, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 2010.

Florence enjoyed baking, crafting, playing bingo and listening to polka music, especially her grandson, Chad Przybylski and the Polka Rhythms.

Surviving are two daughters, Sharon (Don) Van Ark and Carol (Jerry) Przybylski; a stepdaughter, Gloria Wheaton, and her family; a stepdaughter-in-law, Florence Baranczyk, and her family; and a sister-in-law, Ceil (Harold) Boerst. She is further survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Chad (Laurie) Przybylski and their children, Travis, Justin and Chantal; Randy (Michelle) Van Ark and their children, Wes, Josie and Ella; Lori Herms and her children, Keaton and Kinzie; and Holly (Kane) Konitzer.
She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters and their spouses, Harold Boerst, Hazel (Ervin) Hanstedt, Lorraine (Jim) Hanstedt and Lester (Maribelle) Boerst; and her in-laws, Frank (Alma) Havlik and Gladys (Robert) Hanstedt.

Florence was the oldest member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, 3374 County Road C, Oconto Falls (Morgan). Friends and family gathered at St. John’s from 2-3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18. The Funeral Service was celebrated at 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, with Pastor Paul F. Heykes officiating. Burial took place in the Town of Morgan Cemetery. Pallbearers were caregivers from GranCare, per Florence’s wish.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Pastor Heykes and the staff at GranCare for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts will be given to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Morgan.
