Union, SC - Lawrence Monroe Painter died at his residence on Sunday, Feb, 13, 1983. Widower of Dollie Testner Painter and native of North Carolina. Son of George Washington and Josephine Murray Painter and a retired textile employee. Survivors included: three daughters; a son; four sisters; a brother; 23 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. He was 78 years of age at his demise and interment was in the Goodes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. (Original obituary was rewritten to conform to Findagrave Rules by Record Hunter.)
