Lindsey Nelson, 72, of Marietta died April 10, 2009. Service were held at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Shirley Beavers officiating. Interment was in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Nelson was born in Washington, GA and lived in Marietta most of his life. He was a veteran of 53rd Sig Corps of the U.S. Army. He retired from Cobb E.M.C. after 43 years of service. He was a member of NRA for many years.
Survivors are his wife Erica Nelson of Marietta; daughters Leda Nelson Dobbs and husband Rudolph of Temple, GA, Amy Marie Nelson of Kennesaw, Sierra Smith of Marietta; sons Lindsey "Michael" Nelson and wife Lee of Mableton, David Otis Nelson of Kennesaw; brother Raymond Nelson and wife Hannah of Marietta; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
