Erlean Washburn Barco

VIRGINIA BEACH - Mrs. Erlean Washburn Barco, 72, of the Mayflower Apartments died Tuesday in a hospital.
A native of Cape Henry, she was the widow of Bailey Hope Barco. Until her retirement in 1965, she was a supply clerk at the Norfolk Naval Base.
She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employes, Virginia Beach Golden Years Club, and Galilee Episcopal Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Henry Capps; a son, George B. Barco, two brothers, Willard W. Washburn and William H. Washburn, and two sisters, Mrs. James J. Jones and Mrs. John Taptich, all of Virginia Beach; and four grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Galilee Episcopal Church by the Rev. John H. Jordan Jr. Burial will be in Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery.
Maestas Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
