Killed In Motorcycle
Mishap Sunday
William R. Tucker, Jr., 21, well known young Moultrian stationed with the Air Corps at Orlando, Fla., was killed Sunday in a motorcycle accident at Kissimmee, Fla.
Young Tucker, son of W. R. Tucker, Sr., manager of the meat department of a large grocery store here, graduated from Moultrie High School with the class of 1938.
The youth's body will be brought back here for burial. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning from the Funston Baptist Church, with the Rev. R. A. Brand, pastor of the church in charge.
William Tucker had lived in Moultrie and Funston all his life and was popular with the younger set here. Not long after his graduation from Moultrie High school he joined the U. S. Army and had served 27 months with the service organization when he met an accidental death. For some time he had been stationed with the Air Corps at Orlando.
He was a member of the Funston Baptist Church and the local camp of the Woodmen of the World.
Survivors include two sisters, Misses Louise and Lanelle Tucker of Moultrie; three brothers, Lamar, Lynwood and Ronald Tucker, all of Moultrie and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Tucker of Funston.
