Age 83, daughter of the late Park and Annabelle Evans Cage. Irene had worked on several grape farms in the North East area. She attended Hornby School-Union School and was a lifetime and charter member of the Hornby School Restoration Society. She received several appreciation awards honoring her devotion to the school. She received a legislative citation for her community service. A former member of Wayne Park Baptist Church in Erie, she received an award from the church for making 1,000 quilts. She was a member of Wesleyan United Methodist Church in Little Hope. A seamstress, she enjoyed crocheting and quilting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ford Beeman* (d May 16, 1988 age 74); three sons, Donald, Ronald and Mark Beeman; and three brothers, Roy, Arthur and Robert Cage.

Survivors include two sons, Gerald Beeman and his wife, Nancy, of North East and Merle Beeman and his wife, Joanne, of Zerbe; a daughter, Geraldine Wisniewski and her husband, Joseph, of North East; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Lowville Cemetery.
