Brenda Carol Szablowsky, 58, of Waynesburg, Ohio, died at her home on Mother's Day, May 11, 2003.
She was born in Wellsville, N.Y. on Dec. 15, 1944, the daughter of Elsie (Sugden) Coleman and the late Leon ard Coleman Jr.
She was a dedicated housewife and mother who enjoyed bowling until her ill ness caused her to stop. She spent many hours watching tennis on T.V. and spending time with her family. She enjoyed playing Yahtzee with her daughters and playing cards with her husband and family. She was also a known history buff and was always reading up on historical facts and data.
She was preceded in death by her father, father-in-law, Nick Sza blowsky, and sister-in-law, Olga King. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, John Szablowsky; daughters, Roxanne, Tina, and Anne Szablowsky; mother, Elsie Coleman of East Springfield, Pa.; sisters, Judy Pierce, Virginia Cole man, and Joyce Glosser; mother-in-law, Anna Szablowsky; sister-in-law, Mary (Jim) Baker; brothers-in-law, Jerry (Caroline) Szablowsky and Roger King; grandson, Tony; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend funeral services on Thursday, May 15, 2003 at 1 p.m. at the Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home, 11883 Main St., East Springfield, Pa., with Pastor Raymond Lamb of the Conneaut Church of God, officiating. Burial will follow at Spring field Cemetery in East Springfield, Pa.
