OBITUARY OF LUCINDA PEARL (TROXEL) BROWNING

Lucinda Pearl Troxel, daughter of Charles and Phoebe Caroline Troxel was born November 7, 1884 near Gallatin, Daviess County, Missouri. One year later the family moved to Hayes County, Nebraska, where they homesteaded. On the first day of May 1903 she was united in marriage to John William Browning at Imperial, Nebraska. To this union twelve children were born, three preceded her in death.

In 1932 she with her family moved to Cheyenne County, Kansas where she spent the remainder of her life. She passed away very quietly at the St. Francis hospital on Saturday, August 16, 1952, where she was taken and underwent surgery on Thursday. She had reached the age of 67 years, 9 months and 8 days.

In young womanhood she was buried with her Lord in baptism.

Those who mourn her departure are her husband and nine children: Mrs. Minnie Murray, Lester, Laverne and Donald, all of St. Francis. Mrs. Lola Zimbelman of Eugene, Oregon, Mrs. Doris O'Leary of Woodrow, Colo., Chester of Wauneta, Nebr., Mrs. Dona Miller of Caldwell, Idaho, and Jesse of Greeley, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Elma Berry, Wauneta, Nebr., Mrs. Bell Berry of Hayes Center, Nebr., Mrs. Mollie McLain of Imperial, Nebr.; three brothers, Orley Troxel, of Wauneta, Nebr., C. L. Troxel, Palisade, Nebr., and Fred Troxel of Manhattan Beach, California; 34 grandchildren, seven of which preceded her in death; and nine great grandchildren; also many other relatives and a host of friends. She was a kind and loving wife and mother and will be sadly missed by all.
