Ernest ‘Junior' Forward Jr.

Ernest "Junior" Forward Jr., 68, died Dec. 8, 2004, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Edenton, N.C. He was a resident of Edenton, N.C.

He was born Dec. 4, 1936, in Indiana. His parents were Edna (Akres) and Ernest Forward Sr. He married Edna M. Forward in 1999. She survives. Other survivors include six children, Amy, Casey, William and Douglas Forward, all of Edenton, N.C., Charles Forward of Birdie, N.C., and Ernest Forward III of Virginia; three sisters, Sue Taylor of Trafalgar, Mary Catherine Brown of Alabama and Marsha Williams of Franklin; two brothers, Jim Forward of Franklin and Ralph Forward of Florida; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Tartar.

He attended Greenwood High School.

He retired from Tyson Chicken.

He was a member of Unanimity Masonic Lodge 7 and an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

A service was conducted Saturday at Evans Funeral Home in Edenton, N.C. Burial was in Edenton, N.C.
