Robert graduated from Lamar High School as valedictorian in 1966. He excelled academically: BA chemistry with high honors from Austin College; Valedictorian CE degree from University of Texas (UT) Austin; Salutatorian MS Chemical Engineering from UT Austin; JD from UT School of Law; and President of the Patent, Trademark & Copyright Association, a Director and member of the Board of Advocates, and assistant editor of the Texas Law Review. Robert clerked for the Chief Just-ice of the Supreme Court of Texas. He worked as an associate and Licensing Counsel for Akzona Incorporated in Asheville, NC. In 1984 he became a partner in the Dallas firm of Hubbard, Thurman, Turner and Tucker. Robert started his own firm and was the managing partner of Falk and Fish, formerly known as Falk, Vestal and Fish, from 1992 until his death. Robert was an AV-rated patent litigation attorney and was well known nationally for reissued and reexamined patents, and successfully licensing those patents worldwide. Mr. Falk was recognized by numerous periodicals for his contributions in the field of intellectual property, including Who's Who in the World and Who's Who in American Law. Bobby will be remembered for his devotion to his children, his keen mind, his dedication to his clients, his sense of humor, and his love of God. He is survived by his daughter Dorian Falk, son Dillon Falk, mother Sara Falk, brother Chuck Falk, niece Sally Falk Spurlock, and nephew Charles Falk. Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday August 20 in the chapel at Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church on 8011 Douglas Avenue Dallas, TX 75225.
