Born July 3, 1929 in Cuba, she was the daughter of Amparo Lopez Garcia and Rogelio Garcia. She was married to Juan Rene Cabello for over fifty years. She was preceded in death by her husband.
Norma loved music and was a member of her church choir at Holy Family Church in Union City, NJ. She also loved books and had a wonderful sense of humor. Norma had an amazing appreciation for the everyday beauty of the world around her.
She will be lovingly missed by her daughters Norma Cabello, married to Carlos Castillo of Cuba; Christina Shelton, married to Robert N. Shelton of Lancaster, and Amparo Salazar, married to Fernando Salazar of Delaware; seven grandchildren, Jonathan, Cassandra, Christopher, Kelsie, Betty, Loreli & Juan Carlos and seven great grandchildren.
A private casketed burial will take place at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
