DEATH OF JACOB BAHNSEN.

Mr. Jacob H. Bahnsen, one of Bay-township's pioneer farmers, died at his home in this city, July 20th, in his 77th year.

He was born in Schleswig-Holstein and came to this country in 1865, when a lad about 16 years of age, with his parents. He was married to Miss Anna Lorenzen February 8, 1877, and to this union seven children were born: Lucy, wife of Fred Lorenzen of Salem township; Lawrence and Edward who reside on the farm; Elizabeth, wife of William Ohm, deceased; Helen, wife of George Hopfinger of the city; Jacob, who resides here, and Luelia, now Mrs. Ernest Below. In all there 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was one of the most sucessful farmers in this section and was univerally respected.

The funeral will be held this Friday afternoon from Saint John's Lutheran Church, Rev. Lambertus will conduct the service. The body will be laid to rest in Lakeview Cemetery.

Vincent Buck, Mrs. August Moellnan and Mrs. Alvin Geisler attended the funeral services of their cousin, Jacob Bahnsen, at Saint John's Lutheran Church at Port Clinton, Friday afternoon.
