Ralph Clark 70, of Clinton passed away Saturday March 19, 2011 at Yale New Haven Hospital following a long illness. He was born in London Kentucky, May 5, 1940 to Eugene and Alice Juanita Sullivan Clark. Ralph entered the U.S. Army in 1958 and served for 3 years. He later joined the U.S. Navy from 1962-1966. After living in Florida, Ralph joined the U.S. Air Force in 1971. He served in Japan and 3 tours of duty in Vietnam as a staff sergeant with the Military Police. He left the service in 1974 and moved to Connecticut where he met and married Barbara Puffer Trester. His hobbies included fishing and Ham radio. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara of Clinton, a son Ralph L. Clark of Clinton, 3 stepsons, Robert Trester and his wife Niki of Mystic, David Trester of Dalton Ga. and James Trester and his wife Helen of Clinton. He also leaves a brother Ray Clark of Alabama, a sister Faye Witt and her husband Leonard of Dallas Ga. and brothers in law Leroy Puffer of Vernon, and Dean Puffer of Woodstock Ga. Visitation will be Tuesday March 22, 2011 6 to 8 p.m. at the Swan Funeral Home 80 East Main Street Clinton. A Funeral procession will form on Wednesday March 23, 2011 at 9:am at the funeral home to a graveside service with full military honors at 10:00 a.m. in the State Veterans Cemetery Middletown. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance 35 East Main Street Clinton Ct. 06413.
