Claxton - Mary Etta Holland, 84, died Saturday, February 21, 2004, in Brooklet at her daughter's home under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. She was a native of Evans County. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church for over 30 years, and was active in the Ruth Bible Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her Husband Earnest Holland. Survivors: one son and daughter-in-law: Daniel and Sandy Holland of Claxton; one daughter and son-in-law: Earnestine and Tom Rogers of Brooklet; two brothers: Cecil Sapp of Baxley and Ernest Sapp of Nevils; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday, February 22, 2004, 6:00 p.m. until at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home in Claxton. Funeral service will be Monday, February 23, 2004, 2:00 p.m. at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ernest Gordy officiating. Burial: Evergreen Cemetery Remembrances may be made to American Cancer Society or the Ogeechee Area Hospice. J. Claxton - Mary Etta Holland, 84, died Saturday, February 21, 2004, in Brooklet at her daughter's home under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. She was a native of Evans County.
