Mrs. Lila Rue Walker Langley, age 77, a resident of Auburndale passed away Thurs. (Aug. 18, 2011) at Winter Haven Hospital due to cancer.
Born Sept. 5, 1933, in Petry, AL, she was a resident of Auburndale since 1945, coming from AL. She was a retired manufacturing receptionist, attended Lena Vista Baptist Church in Auburndale and Ridge Point Church in Winter Haven. She enjoyed cooking & puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Herbert F. & Vera G. (Thomas) Davis, 1st husband H.J. Walker; 2nd husband Mack Langley; and son Ray Walker. She is the sister of Nelson, Lloyd (Betty), Earl (Dottie), Rafton (Joanne), Curtis (Barcia)Davis, Sussanah 'Sue' Stallard (Rich), Shirley Kelly (Eldridge), Amy Powers and Emily Ashley (Bob) along with 2 other brothers that predeceased her.
Lila is survived by her loving family: children Allan (Laura) Walker, Pat (Randy) Bossons, Jean (Mike) Hill, all of Auburndale, Linda Starr of Lakeland, Diane Morse of Montana; and many grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Kersey Funeral Home. Interment followed at Auburndale Memorial Park. Visitation were held from 1-2pm at the funeral home.
