"Jim A. Isbell, 69, died Wednesday, January 24, 2001, at his home in Coleman. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

"Mr. Isbell was born October 14, 1931, a son of William Wickerson Isbell and Mary Olean Royall Isbell. He grew up and attended schools in Littlefield, Texas. He married Doris Lee Franklin in Clovis,New Mexico on October 21, 1976. He later married Paula Simpson in 1976. Mr. Isbell moved to Coleman in November 1972, and owned Isbell Used Cars and Wrecking Yard in Coleman.

"His survivors include a daughter, Lavelle Walters of Coleman; five sons, Darrell Isbell of Lubbock, Dannie Isbell and Jimmy Isbell, both of Hereford, Anthony Isbell and Lynn Isbell, both of Coleman; a sister, Eura Royall of Coleman; two brothers, Raymond Isbell of Coleman and J.C. Isbell of St. James, Missouri; a step-son, Loyd Parks, Jr.; two step-daughters, Lois Mitchell and Lori Parks; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

"He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Ruth Bell; and four brothers, Jack, Thomas, Albert and Jessy Isbell.

"Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home."
