Mrs. Ellen Murdock of Hartwick, Succumbs
Hartwick, Sept. 16 — Mrs. Ellen A. (Cook) Murdock, widow of Hiram D. Murdock, died early Saturday morning from the infirmities of old age. She had been ill for approximately two years.
Funeral services will be held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Worthy Clark, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. R. C. Updyke, pastor of the Congregational Christian church will officiate. Burial will be in the village cemetery.
Mrs. Murdock was born June 7, 1855, in the town of Hartwick, a daughter of Mordington and Lavinia (Green) Cook. She and Mr. Murdock were married December13, 1871.
She is survived by Mrs. Clark, with whom she made her home, two grandchildren, Harry Clark of Hartwick and Mrs. Raymond Vosburgh of Oneonta, five great grandchildren and one brother, George Cook of Hartwick.
