Eliza Jane "Jennie" Hake was the daughter of Frederick Gross Hake and Sarah Moore/Mohr. Her paternal grandparents were Andrew F. Hake and Eliza Gross.

She married Luther S. Glatfelter on 14 August 1881 in York. Luther was born on 23 December 1860, in New Salem, North Codorus Township, York County and died on 28 June 1951. He was the son of Franklin Glatfelter (1824-1915) and Rebecca Margaret Smith (~1825-1893)

They first resided at Starview, Dover Township in 1881. Luther had a general store and was postmaster. Gibson p. 135.

In 1910 Eliza and Luther were living in York. Eliza was the mother of 7 children, 6 living. In 1920 Eliza and Luther were living in York, with their son Edward, daughter Gertrude Fogle and grandson Robert K. Fogle. The federal census record indicated that Gertrude was married.

In 1930 Eliza and Luther were living in York, with their daughter Gertrude Fogle and grandson Robert K. Fogle. Luther was a salesman for a flour and feed store.
