Carma Webb Hatch, 78, passed away at Webb's Care Home in Snowflake, Ariz., on Wednesday, March 29, 2000. Mrs. Hatch was born on Oct. 8, 1921, in Snowflake to John Albert and Goldie Cluff Turley Webb. She grew up in Snowflake and attended school there. She married Gerald L. Hatch on March 5, 1938, in Holbrook and they were sealed in the Mesa Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She lived in Snowflake, Lakeside, Pinedale, Joseph City and Phoenix in Arizona before moving to Banning. She lived there for some time before moving to Barstow in 1957. She resided in Barstow before moving back to Snowflake in July 1999. Hatch was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was very active. She served in many positions in the church including primary president and Relief Society president but her favorite was Librarian and working with the children as a Sunbeam teacher. She loved to quilt and make bread and enjoyed yard work and gardening. Hatch is survived by her children, Maris and Frank Stein of Ontario, Leon and Jewel Hatch of Mohave Valley, Ariz., Ray and Christina Hatch of Barstow, Lori and William Ray Mobley of Barstow, and Jill and Jeff Parker of West Jordan, Utah; her sister, Marilyn Wagner of Snowflake and her brother, John Hartley Webb of Queen Creek, Ariz.; and 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald L. Hatch, a sister, Florence Black, and her brother, Vancil Webb. Graveside services will be held at 4:30 p.m. today, April 1, 2000 at the Snowflake Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8, in the chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Barstow, 2571 Barstow Road. The family prefers donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 Grove Ave., Suite B, Prescott, Ariz. 86301 or to the LDS Missionary Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Fletcher's Mortuary of Show Low, Ariz.
