Mary Jo Beck, 53, of McLeansboro, died at 2:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19, 2011 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro.
She was born May 3, 1958 in McLeansboro, the daughter of Paul and Catherine (Dolan) Mitsdarffer, and was married Oct. 29, 1979 at St. Clement's Catholic Church in McLeansboro to Marty Beck, who survives.
Mrs. Beck was an office manager and was employed at 4 R Equipment. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society, and she attended Rend Lake College.
Also surviving are a daughter, Marilee Beck of St. Louis, Mo.; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Brenda Mitsdarffer of Carbondale, Steven and Sharon Mitsdarffer of Enfield, and Keith and Robin Mitsdarffer of Lewisville, Texas; her mother-in-law, Sharron Beck of McLeansboro; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Catherine Mitsdarffer, and her father-in-law, Donnie Beck.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Clement's Catholic Church in McLeansboro, the Revs. Joseph Trapp and Slawomir Ptak officiating. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery at Piopolis. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. A rosary service will begin at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Hamilton County Catholic Cemeteries.
