Houston Chronicle, February 2, 2003:

"Polly" Edith Eason Anderson, 83, of Wichita Falls, Texas, died January 31, 2003. She was born June 25, 1919 to Charlsie and Floyd Eason in Houston, Texas and married Leon M. Anderson, Jr. on November 2, 1940.

Polly was preceded in death by her husband, parents, six brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son, "Buddy" Leon M. Anderson III and wife, Josephine, of Sugar Land, Texas; daughter, Eleanor Jean Collier and husband, Glenn, of Iowa Park, Texasl nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Polly worked at Hermann Hospital in Houston before moving to Wichita Falls, Texas in 1955. She retired in 1980 after working for Medical and Surgical Clinic for 25 years.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 2, 2003, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Boulevard. The funeral service will be on Monday, February 3, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Heights Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.
