George A. Gordon, 63, formerly of Huntington, died at 5:15 a.m. Sunday (July 17, 2011) at his home.

George was born on May 31, 1948, in Roanoke, to Paul Gordon and Iva (Jones) Gordon Tudor. He was a 1967 graduate of Northfield High School and attended Ivy Tech. George was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

George worked as a Maintenance Technician at Ellison Bakery in Fort Wayne for 5 years and for Hayes Lemmerz for 15 years before that. He was a national member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his step-father – Roy Tudor of Wabash; two sons – Brian Gordon of Selina, Kansas and Jonathon Gordon of Selina, Kansas; three sisters – Jan (Guy) Stayton of Akron, Paula "Pinky" (Hershel) Butcher of La Fontaine and Mary (Jack) Amber of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one brothers – Steve "Butch" (Pam) Gordon of El Paso, Texas; and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces. His parents and sisters, Gayle Thompson and Edith Gordon, preceded him in death.

There will be no visitation or funeral services.
