Paul Morgan Dies on M.K. Job in Alaska
Paul O. Morgan, steel construction superintendent for the Morrison-Knudsen Co., Inc. died Monday while working on one of the company's projects on Shemya Island in the Aleutians. He went to Shemya January 9. Funeral services will be held Saturday with burial in Forest Lawn. Mr. Morgan had worked for Morrison-Knudsen since 1956. Earlier he was employed 14 years by the Lake Washington Shipyard, where he was a welding superintendent. Mr. Morgan was born and reared in Grinnell, Iowa. He came here in 1924 after four years of Navy duty. Survivors are his wife, Grace M; a daughter, Mrs. Charles R. Balch, Jr., Seattle; his mother, Mrs. Charles H. Morgan, Pleasantville, Iowa; five sisters, Mrs. Hiram Sutton, Prairie City, IA; Mrs. Earl Owens, Pella, IA;, Mrs. Thomas Schraeder, Newton, IA; Mrs. Harry Johnson, Des Moines, IA; and Mrs. Fred Mueller, Cheyenne, WY and three brothers, Emerson Morgan, Monroe, IA; Clyde Morgan, Denver and Wayne Morgan, Prairie City.
