GARDNER.--Mrs. Mary H. Gardner died in Yatesville, New York, December 15, 1868, aged 89. She was converted some thirty-five years since and joined the Methodist Episcopal Church, in whose communion she remained a consistent faithful member. Her home for many years was the resting place of weary itinerants, and she esteemed them very highly for their works' sake. She was a decided, earnest Christian, and an ardent lover of an earnest religion, and a regular attendant at church till the infirmities of age prevented. To the very last she had a keen relish for spiritual and heavenly things.
