Willie first married Nancy Bumpass and he and Nancy had six children: Morris Ash Blackburn (1911-1990), Clarence Leslie Blackburn (1912-2001), Jennie Mae Blackburn (1915-2000), Rosa Lee Blackburn (1917-2006), Lillian K. Blackburn (1919-2005), and Roy Lee Blackburn (1922-2012).

The last child, Roy, had not yet been born.
Willie second married Lola Lance who was born August 4, 1893.
The 1940 Federal Census for Speairs, Oklahoma (Bryan County) shows W. C. Blackburn, a farmer, age 56, born in Texas; and his wife, Lola, age 46, and three of Lola's children by her former marriage.
Willie died February 20, 1974 in Durant, Oklahoma (Bryan County) and was buried there in the Highland Cemetery.
