She married Jacob Amick on Aug. 13,1868,in Russellville,West Virginia,Nicholas County.
They were blessed with 12 children,whom are,Mary E. McKnight,Andrew Wesley Amick,Ella F.'Ellen' Bookhart,Cora A. Couch,Laura frances Propst,William J. Amick,Lydia Ann Phillips,Walter L. Amick,Daniel Amick,Theodore J. Amick,Charles Andrew Amick and Mattie Mae Brostrom.
After Jacob's death Sarah moved into Bronson and purshased a house on Mapel Street.She lived to the age of 81 years.
Her body and grave was moved from Floyd Township Cemetery,in Bronson,Iowa to Graceland Park Cemetery in Sioux City,Iowa.becuz the land was sold.
