From The Junction City Weekly Union 23 Jun 1960 p8:
GEORGE D. WALTERS, 80, died unexpectedly late Thursday afternoon at his farm midway between Junction City and Milford.  He had lived on the property since his birth December 13 1879.  He had been in poor health and recently under the care of a physician.
For many years he operated a machine shop on the farm and threshing machines in the community.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert B. Walters and had operated the farm since the death of his father in 1928.
He was married to Miss Gertrude Bartell in Milford in 1901.  A daughter, Mrs. Ruth Grahame lives in York, PA.
Tentative plans have been made to hold the funeral at 2 p.m., Monday from the Johnson funeral home.  Burial will be in the Shenck cemetery.
