She was born 1 Apr 1865 in Scipio, Millard County, Utah. She was the tenth of the 15 children to William Franklin Ivie and Malinda Jane Young. She married William Allen Taylor on 1 Apr 1884 in Fremont, Utah and later solemnized on 18 Jun 1884 in St. George Temple.

She was the mother of 9 children. They were: Mary Violet, William Franklin, Ella Mae, James Calvert, Ada Matilda, Thomas Riley, Ivan Ellison (deceased), Maud Lorene and Wilford Otto.

She was preceded her death by her parents, 4 sisters and 9 brothers. Only one survivor, her brother Calvert Milton Ivie.

Buried in Fremont Cemetery on 23 Feb 1934
