NORFOLK - Kathy P. Reid, 55, went home to be with the Lord June 30, 2011. She was a native of Nassawadox, Va. She was a graduate of Norfolk State and Regent University. She was a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta, Epsilon Theta Chapter. Before her illness she was a proud teacher in the Norfolk Public School system. Survivors include her husband, Dexter F. Reid; son, Jamal F. Reid; a daughter, Karimi S. Reid; two sisters, Angela Wright and Cynthia Lewis; one brother, Christopher Peace; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, at Second Calvary Baptist Church, the Rev. Dr. Geoffrey V. Guns, pastor; the Rev. Dr. Joseph Lee will be officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The Deltas will be having a service at 5 p.m. Monday, July 4.
