Jasmine Brittany Mercedes Stump, 20, of Upper Chloe Road, formerly of Zebulon Highway, died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011, at the home of her grandparents after a severe asthma attack.
She was born in Pike County, June 2, 1991, the daughter of James Floyd Stump of Elkhorn City and Sherry (Justice) Roberts of Zebulon Highway.
She was a 2009 graduate of Pike County Central High School and an employee of Wal-Mart.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Sarah Stump, Bennett Mullins, Elmer Leedy, Floyd and Bette Mutter Stump and Ester and Muriel Conley Thompson.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her stepmother, Julia Stump; her stepfather, Paul E. Roberts; her fiancé, Walt Clevinger of Upper Chloe; eight siblings, Kaitlyn Stump, Olivia Stump and Gunnar Roberts, all of Zebulon, Madalyn Stump and Michael Damron, both of Elkhorn City, Dustin Roberts of Pikeville, Erica Evans of Williamson, W.Va., Cheyenne Fleming of Jenkins and Justin and Bellanie Damron of Phyllis; one nephew, Chase Evans; one niece Laci Sophia Ratliff and her grandparents, Eugene and Bernice Adkins of Zebulon, Gary L. Stump and James Damron, both of Tennessee, Chlistic Mullins of Michigan, Lynn Turner of Clinchco, Va., Ross and Dixie Damron of Elkhorn City.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, in the Community Funeral Home Chapel with Tommy England, SJ Bates, Shane Ward and East Ridge Boys officiating. Burial followed in the Burnett Family Cemetery, Zebulon.
Arrangements were under direction of Community Funeral Home of Zebulon.
