Mrs. Frieda Ann Woods, 64 years old wife of William Woods, owner of Woods Buick-Pontiac in Franklin, passed away Tuesday morning at Johnson County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Woods resided on Franklin route one.
Services will be conducted 10 a.m. Thursday from St. Rose of Lima Catholic church, where Mrs. Woods was a member. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery in Franklin and calling hours will begin at Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Wednesday
Rev. Albert Ajamie will officiate at the services and a rosary service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Woods was born Oct. 16, 1907, in Shelby county to John and Kathryn Minster Fischer. She attended Shelby and Johnson county schools and graduated from the former Clark high school in 1925.
Mrs. Woods was a member of the Alter Society at St. Rose, as well as Epsilon Sigma Alpha sorority and Zeta Psi patroness club.
Besides the husband, also surviving are two sons, John Woods of Bossier City, La., and Jim Woods of Franklin. In addition, two sisters, Mary Ann Braunagel of Shelbyville, Eileen Mann of Whiteland, and seven grandchildren survive. (Obit: The Daily Journal, March 14, 1972)
