Willard served as a First Lieutenant and Pilot on B-25C (#42-32265), U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided at 29 Conklin Avenue, Rochester, Monroe County, New York prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on September 26, 1941, prior to the war, in Rochester, New York. He was noted as being employed as an Accountant and/or auditor and also as Single, without dependents.

Willard died in the "Line Of Duty" when his B-25 crashed due to engine problems in Italy Hill, near Penn Yan, New York during the war.
