Nathan "Gene Babe" Lester

Mr. Nathan "Gene Babe" Lester, age 68, of Brookport, died at 7:00 am Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the Pell Cemetery. Rev. Tony Wayne Harris will officiate.
Mr. Lester was a retired Construction Worker, a member of Waldo Baptist Church, and a veteran serving in the Army.
He is survived by 1 daughter, Renee Tucker of Paducah, KY; 4 sons, Charles Eugene Lester of Metropolis, IL, David Anthony Lester of Paducah, KY, Calvin Lewis McDaniel and wife Melissa of Wickliffe, KY, and Christopher McDaniel and wife Kristi of Evansville, IN; 15 grandchildren; 2 great granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cyrus and Ellen Thompson Lester; 2 grandchildren, Keenan Anthony Nathan Lester and Brett Lewis McDaniel.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Aikins-Farmer Brookport Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Calvin McDaniel, David Lester, Larry Clary, Sean Ellis, Timothy Tucker, and Melissa McDaniel.
