Mrs. Ralph Albright

Mrs. Dora E. Albright, 83, one of the original members of the Grey Ladies of Amherst Hospital, who had served many years, died today in the intensive care unit of Elyria Memorial Hospital. She was a patient a week.

A former resident of Amherst for 23 years, Mrs. Albright had lived in the area all her life. The past two years she was living in the Elyria Home. During World War II she was employed as a machine operator at the Nordson Corp.

Mrs. Albright was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Amherst, and a charter member of Golden Agers of Amherst. Her husband, the Rev. Ralph Albright, died Oct, 18, 1970.

Surviving are two sons, Clifford Miller of Girard, Pa., and George Miller of Amherst; two daughters, Mrs. Al (Ruth) Normandeau of Vermilion and Mrs. James (Jane) Crook of West Palm Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Ethel Wagner of Elyria. A son, Elmer Miller was killed in action in 1945, while serving with the Army in World War II.

A private service will be conducted tomorrow at 1 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst, with the Rev. Paul Buckland, pastor of Brownhelm United Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Brownhelm Cemetery.

The family has requested memorial contributions be to the Elyria Home.
