Born in Nelsonville, son of the late Harry E. and Edith Hunter Rizer, he was a retired brick mason.
He belonged to Brick Masons Local 44; Mingo Lodge 171, F&AM, Logan and Logan Chapter 75,
Surviving are his wife Bertha A. ; three daughters, Mrs. William (Joann) Kesterson of Logan, and Mrs. Thomas (Nancy) Johnston, and Mrs. Max (Rita) Carpenter, both of Lancaster; two sons, Jack C. Rizer Jr. and Harry A. Rizer, both of Lancaster; 14 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, and a brother, James C. Rizer of Lancaster.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, Lancaster, with the Rev. Donald B. Cummans officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville.
