In 1880, Benjamin Millen, 31, and his children, also living in Calais, are described as mulatto, as are George Millen, 28, and his children in Calais.
A researcher says Alexander Millen of Calais was born about 1802 and died 1862. He was married to Mary Pye, and they had children Alexander, Benjamin and George in the 1860 census.
