Fred was born at home on Joaquin Ave., San Leandro, CA, during the Great Depression to Harvey S. and Evelyn Andrews. He graduated from San Leandro High School in 1949. He served 2 yrs in the U.S. Army. Most of his working years were in law enforcement positions with Hayward PD, Churchill Co., NV, California State Police. Fred was married more than once and had four children. He served honorably in the military and as a law enforcement officer.
