Marie Opal McCauley,93,of Cliff passed away Sunday,at her home.The family recieved friends Tuesday at Bright Funeral Home.Graveside services were to be conducted at 11 this morning at Mesa Cemetery in Cliff with the Rev. David Goble officiating.Mrs. McCauley was born Oct.18,1906,in Lordsburg,the daughter of Julius Ceasar Brock and Anna Marie Schmelzel Brock.She married Thomas Crawford McCauley on Jan. 2,1929,in Cliff.Mrs. McCauley is survived by a son,Fred McCauley,and his wife Virginia,of Cliff;15 grandchildren;and numerous other relatives.She was preceded in death by her husband,Thomas,one son,one brother and two sisters.her entire life,she was a hard working woman who would ride beside the men on the ranch as long as 14 hours a day,never missing one day.She loved fishing,hunting and gardening.She was an excellent cook,and a loving wife,mother and grandmother.Everyone she met was her friend.Pallbearers for Mrs. McCauley's service were Bill McCauley,Glen McCauley,Rusty McCauley,Billy Ray McCauley,Robert McCauley,David Norris,Bucky McCauley and Skeeter Byrd.Mrs. McCauley will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.Bright Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
