Well Known Rural School Teacher Dies
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church for Frank B. Hatcher, 58, who passed away at his home in Valier at 9:30 Wednesday, December 22, after several months of illness, suffering from a complication of diseases. Mr. Hatcher was formerly one of Franklin county's best school teachers, having taught in the districts on the west side of the county. Later he engaged in farming and was very successful in this undertaking. He was industrious and dependable at all times. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Anna Adams with whom he made his home, and one sister, Mrs. Ras Murray of Valier. Rev. J. R. McDuffy officiated. Masonic funeral rites by Goode Lodge No. 774 A, F, & A. M. of Valier. Internment in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
