Ernest E. Keller, 70, well-known farmer of the Iona area, died on Tuesday in a local hospital.

He was born Aug. 13, 1882, at Mink Creek, Idaho, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Morgan Keller. He attended schools in the Mink Creek area, moving to the Idaho Falls area in 1914. He homesteaded property some 23 miles east of here, which he still owned at the time of his death.

He was the 13th child of 14, all of whom preceded him in death. He was a farmer and a minder and he also drove a stagecoach in Yellowstone Park in his younger days.

He was married to Jane Amy Villet in 1913 in the Logan LDS Temple. They were divorced in 1925. In 1930, he married Margaret Croft.

Survivors include his widow and three sons, Earnest V. Keller, Las Vegas, Nev.; Elmo E. Keller, now in the armed forces; Max Keller, Iona; two daughters: Mrs. Leslie Welch, San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. Harry Arnold, Burbank, Calif.; and three stepsons, Dean L. Crofts, Bellflower, Calif.; Gerald and William Crofts, both of Idaho Falls. Nine grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.
