MRS. JENNIE ELLIS OF ROY DIES IN CITY

PASSES AT ST. JOSEPH'S HOSPITAL EARLY ON THURSDAY FOLLOWING LONG ILLNESS --- RAN NICK'S CAFE IN ROY --- FUNERAL HERE 3:30 P.M. ON SATURDAY.

Mrs. Jennie E. Ellis, 54, wife of Pearl Ellis, well known agent for the Continental Oil Co., at Roy, and herself a greatly beloved resident of that community, died at the St. Joseph's hospital at 5 o'clock on Thursday morning following a prolonged illness.

Mrs. Ellis was born in Rutledge, Mo., Dec. 26, 1882, and besides her husband is survived by four children, LeRoy of Lewistown; Mrs. Mildred Styer, Ray and George, all of Roy; and one grandchild, Alta May Styer age 9 months. There are also two brothers and two half-brothers surviving. They are Leonard Ellis of Lewistown, Lloyd Ellis of Strongheart, Ill.; Logan Hottle of Los Angeles and Thomas Hottle of Brampton, N. D.

Funeral service will be held from the Creel chapel 3:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon, with the Rev. R. O. Shannon of the Baptist church in charge.

Mrs. Ellis was a member of the Christian church of Millport, Mo. She came to Central Montana with her husband in the spring of 1916, and homesteaded in the Roy section, where she lived for several years, later moving to Hanover and then to Winnett. For the past two years she had made her home at Roy, where she conducted the well known Nick's cafe.
