Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Henry F. and Nancy Crowe Albertson.
Survived by a daughter; eight brothers; two sisters.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. James was predeceased by four brothers, Willard, Judge, Ray and Colonel Albertson, and by four sisters, Dolar Bagwell, Bernice Gilstrap, Mae Albertson and Ellie Clardy; and by her stepmother, Ruby Albertson.
Funeral services: Tuesday February 19, 2008, chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley.
Burial: Liberty Memorial Gardens.
