Lewis, the son of Nicholas and Hannah (Eastwick) Grubb, was a Brandywine Hundred carpenter who founded LT Grubb & Son, builder of numerous homes in Wilmington, DE. In 1847 he married Heziah Beeson Harper of New Castle County; they had two sons and five daughters between 1849 and 1866. During the Civil War, Lewis was a Corporal in Company A of the 5th Delaware Infantry. He was an early member of the Sons of the American Revolution, his mother's father served in the Revolution.

GRUBB.--In this city, on December 17, 1915, Lewis T. Grubb, in his 90th year.

Relatives, friends, Fairfax Lodge, No. 8, I. O. O. F.; Apollo Castle, No. 2, K. G. E., and Sheridan Post, No. 23, G. A. R., are invited to attend the funeral services from his late residence, No. 832 Pine street, Tuesday afternoon, December 21, at 1:30 o'clock. Services at Scott M. E. church at 2 o'clock. Interment at Riverview Cemetery.
