Cascade, WI - William August Glass, 64, passed away at his home here Sunday at 6:45am. He had been ill for some time.
Deceased was born December 7, 1873, in town Scott, and was married to Miss Minnie Reinke on May 10, 1900. One daughter was born, Elva, and his wife passed away April 28, 1920.
He was married again on July 5, 1923, to Mrs. Amelia Petznick.
Survivors are his wife; a daughter: Mrs. Ray (Elva) Mertes of Oostburg; seven grandchildren; a step-son: Robert Petznick of Manitowoc; four sisters: Mrs. Albert Keopke of Dundee, Mrs. Mathilda Schroeder of Kewauskum, Mrs. Amelia Krahn of Beechwood, and Mrs. Tena Suemnicht of Cascade; two brothers: Arthur of Beechwood, and Adolph of Campbellsport. Two sisters and two brothers and his parents, Adolph and Florentina Glass, preceded him in death.
Deceased spent his entire life in town Scott except for a few years when he resided in Plymouth and Sheboygan. He had made his home in Cascade since March, 1938.
The body was taken from the Wittkopp Funeral Home to the residence where friends may view it from today until Tuesday at 11am when the body will be taken to the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Cascade, from where services will be held Tuesday at 2pm. Burial will be made in the Beechwood cemetery.
