Annie Rebecca Buswell was the daughter of George Daniel and Florence Annie (Bell) Buswell. When she was 19 years old, she took a dressmaking course; her daughter Hazel commented she seldom used a pattern when making clothes for the family. Annie's family thought she would never marry as she was 27 when she met and married Charley. They moved to northeastern Indiana soon after they were married; then moved to Jennings County in 1912. In 1916, they purchased a farm in Bartholomew County and remained there for the rest of their lives. Annie is the only one of George Daniel and Florence Buswell's children who is not buried in the Buswell Cemetery near Kentland, Indiana.
