In 1879 a family departed their native land overseas for America among whom was a thirteen year old son, Charles J Anderson, who has recently been carried to his final resting place in the cemetery of the Chisago Lake Lutheran Church at Center City.
Through the years in the Chisago County, Charles J Anderson has devoted his life to the tilling of the soil and aiding greatly in the production of crops. When he came to America, his father and mother and brother, Peter, were directed to Chisago county by a brother of his father, Magney Anderson.
Later, after a reasonable amount of success rewarded their labors, the two brothers, Peter and Charles operated the farm, when the parents were taken in death in the year 1908, just a week apart.
Neither of the brothers married. About three weeks ago, Charles J was taken seriously ill and had to be hospitalized at Bethesda in St Paul. At the end of the period, he succumbed with pneumonia and influenza, January 31, 1943.
Charles J Anderson was born in Kronobergs Lan,Smaland, Sweden on August 4, 1866.
The final rites to his remains was conducted at the Chisago Lake Lutheran church, with Pastor Gilbert T Monson, officiating February 3, 1943,
He was carried to his resting place by his friends: George W Mattson, Walter T Nelson, William T Nelson, William Brandt, Peter J Lindgren, Wallace Anderson and C O Carlson.
