A native of Ocala, Florida, daughter of the late Herbert N. and Edna Mobley Pennington, she was an employee of Bloom Grocery and of the Presbyterian faith.
Surviving are her husband, Samuel Lee Templeton, Jr. of the home; two sons, Samuel Lee "Temp" Templeton III and Charles Russell Templeton; a brother, Charles Pennington of Belleview, Florida; and one granddaughter, Riley Grace Watson of Greer.
A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church of Greer, conducted by Rev. Wayne Cole and Rev. Keith Kelly.
The family is at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ellen Templeton Memorial Fund, c/o Greer State Bank, 601 North Main Street, Greer, SC 29650.
