Brasher Woman Dies

Mrs. John Lashomb died at 2:00 o'clock Monday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Verne Perrica, 19 Willow street, Malone. For the past two years she had been ailing from general debility, having twice underwent serious operations. The deceased was 68 years of age.

She was a native of Brasher Falls and it was in that town that she spent the most of her life. She was a member of Notre Dame church and was held in high esteem by her many friends.

She went to Malone to reside at her daughter's home about five years ago and since that time she had lived with them.

Surviving, besides her husband, who resides in Brasher Falls, are two daughters, Hattie Lavare, St. Regis Falls, and Mrs. V.J. Perrica, with whom she resided; two sons, George, of Potsdam, and Gerdie of Utica; three brothers, Louis and Richard Shorette, of Brasher, and Alfred, of Traverse City, Mich.,and one sister, Mrs. Frank Lavare, of Canton.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 9:00 o'clock from Notre Dame church, Malone. The body was placed in Notre Dame vault until spring, when interment will be made at Brasher Falls.
