Mrs. Weintraut belonged to the St. Vincent Catholic Church and St. Ann's Alter Society.
Born July 3, 1891 in Oldenburg, a daughter of John and Bernadine (Fischer) Ferkinhoff, she was married Aug. 16, 1916 to Albert Weintraut, who survives at Waldron.
Also surviving are four daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Maier, Cincinnati, Mrs. Cleopha Brandes, Fortville, Mrs. Olive Froehling, Greenburg, and Mrs. Dorine Woisiefer, Shelbyville, and three sons, George Weintraut, Vesta, Calf., Omer Weintraut, Waldron, and Mark Weintraut, Indianapolis.
Other survivors are three sisters, Mrs. Ivo (Eulalia) Kischner and Mrs Genevieve Lamping, both of Oldenburg, and Mrs. Felecia Firsich, Batesville; two brother, Joseph and Ralph Ferkinhoff, both of Oldenburg, 25 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. A daughter, two brother and two sisters preceded in death.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent Catholic Church, with the Rev. James DeDe officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Glenn E. George Funeral Home at St. Paul, after 4 p.m. Wednesday and the rosary will be recited there at 7:30 o'clock that evening. (Obit: The Shelbyville News, Jan. 6, 1981)
